I’m an allergist and clinical immunologist. As a clinical immunologist, my patients struggle with recurrent infections or immune disorders. This means the immune system doesn't have the ability to control the inflammatory response. What I do as a clinical immunologist is help determine if there could be an underlying reason that a patient has recurrent infections and then how we can best treat them. The thing that I'm most known for is my care of patients with either known or suspected primary immune deficiency. I would say I'm most passionate about helping patients. Often times, these patients haven't had an answer or have been struggling for many years and have gone to many different doctors. One thing that I love is being able to sit down with a patient and hear their story. I look at their records that they have the laboratory testing the radiology, sometimes genetic testing, and then try to put it all together that puzzle pieces all fit.
