Zizhu (purple bamboo) tune is a traditional folk song and love tune in the Jiangnan area. It is also a basic tune and commonly used in Shanghai local operas. Zizhu tune was originally sung during the work of grinding tofu in the Shanghai Opera "Shuang Tuo Hua". While singing, the actor swayed her hands to strain the soy milk. This cloth bag for filtering soy milk is supported by two striped bamboo poles. The actors hold these two striped bamboo poles and sway when singing. This striped bamboo pole is called "Purple Bamboo". Since then, this folk song has been called "Purple Bamboo Tune" "Yes. It was originally a folk song with the local flavor of Jiangnan, a place with beautiful mountains and clear waters and abundant fish and rice. Its melody is ups and downs and hearty, the mood is optimistic and friendly, the rhythm is lively and bright, and it is full of the simple and hard-working character of the working people in the Jiangnan area. 紫竹调是江南地区的传统民歌小曲、爱情小调,也是上海地方戏沪剧与滑稽戏的基本曲牌、常用曲调。紫竹调最初在沪剧“同场戏” 《双脱花》 中为磨豆腐劳动时所演唱的一支曲牌。演员在演唱时,双手摇曳做滤豆浆的动作。这过滤豆浆的布兜时用两根斑纹竹杆支撑,演员演唱时就是握着这两根斑纹竹杆摇曳,这种斑纹竹杆叫做“紫竹”,自此这首民歌被叫作“紫竹调”了。它原是一首具有山清水秀、鱼米盛产地江南地方色彩的民歌。它的旋律起伏爽朗,情绪乐观亲切,一句一顿的曲调,活泼明快的节奏,富有江南地区劳动人民朴素勤劳的性格。 李青珊演奏于2024年7月5号
