The Faction Plastik is here!! "Ode to Plastik" is my second personal profile project in succession with my previous video "Ode to Carbon", shot at "The Compound" in Maryland. Faction Skate Company HQ. With the much-anticipated Faction Plastik skates' arrival, I was excited to put them to the test and see what I could do in them! Once I was able to dial in the fit, these skates did not disappoint! Over the past few months, I pushed myself to get the clips I wanted, as well as some clips that were unexpected and performed in the moment. Never underestimate the power of skating with friends and listening to their suggestions for possible tricks and maneuvers. With this edit, I wanted to use a faster-paced track, which both speaks to me and compliments my skating/vibe. I think I was able to accomplish that with this song. I continued to draw inspiration from Brandon Andersen and all the videos he has put out, along with his attention to detail when putting together his films. Mine are nowhere close to Brandon's, mind you, but still an inspiration for me none-the-less. Hope you all enjoy watching as much as I have had putting this edit together!! I want to thank my wife, Katie, for always being down for me to take on projects like this and holding down the fort while I am out clipping! I want to thank the Faction crew and all the homies who I get the privilege to skate with on a regular basis. I find inspiration for tricks and progression from all of you amazing human beings! Shout out to Clark Kirkman for continuing to allow me to come skate at "The Compound" and giving me tips and pointers throughout the trick learning process. I never underestimate your advice!
