Plane Spotting Funchal Madeira 25-7-2024 | Go Around, Air Force, Stripes

After flying to Madeira on the Binter ATR 72, I quickly started spotting! The plane I flew on was my first catch of the day, when it departed back to Las Palmas. It was the start of a great afternoon and evening for my fifth time at Madeira! It became a day with waving pilots, nice colourschemes and some interesting moments. There was a nice Bombardier Challenger 850 in with a nice livery and a pretty exotic San Marino registration. Great sound on take off! During a short switch of runway usage, I went to a spot on the 23 side of the runway where I filmed a Falcon 900 landing and two Easyjets aswell. But I quickly needed to go back to the other side as 05 operations came back in use. Because of this I missed the landing of a Portugese Air Force CASA CN295. I got the departure though! A very nice catch indeed! There were a lot of Condor flights today, all but one were operated with new striped liveried aircraft. A Travel Service Boeing 737-900 performed a spectacular take off from runway 23! An Easyjet A320 somehow ended up performing a go around while I was trying an artistic shot with a fake bird sitting on a house rooftop! To make matters worse, I lost my balance while filming the go around aswell. Very very messy! I kept the footage in just for the laugh. The Easyjet landed safely on its second try. I need to give two big shout-outs here to fellow local avgeeks Pedro and Valdemar! I spotted with them this day! They both livestream and video the action at this awesome airport almost every day!
