With our baby due any day now, we made the long 4-5 hour out and back drive to our off-grid cabin in Alaska for one final push to get things done before the big arrival. Even though it’s tough to stay motivated, especially this far along in pregnancy, we powered through and made the most of our time. In this video, we finish the interior trim, did some decorating to make the cabin feel more like home, and covered up our building materials outside to keep them dry through upcoming rain. We’re really proud of what we got done—it’s not always easy to make these trips, but seeing the progress makes it all worth it. The cabin is really starting to feel like a cabin. Next trip, we’ll be tackling a big project: building stairs on the steep hill that leads up to the cabin using railroad ties. They’re heavy and the slope is no joke, but it’s going to look awesome when it’s done! Not to mention we'll have a little guy to take care of! Thanks for coming along with us on this journey—we can’t wait to share more. Cheers, Cyle
