The Alu-Cab ModCAP Kitchen: The Deep Dive You’ve Been Looking For When we were researching the Alu-Cab ModCAP Kitchen for our Jeep Gladiator, we realized there wasn't a single in-depth video showing how this unit actually works, how it mounts, and if the Deluxe version is worth the investment. We decided to change that. In this video, we go through every inch of the ModCAP Kitchen pod to answer the questions Alu-Cab's own documentation leaves out. What’s Inside? We opted for the basic kitchen, which adds about 20 kg (44 lbs) to the rear door. A stainless steel fold-down table. A full utensil set and storage pockets. The "Nitty-Gritty" Details No Drilling Required: One of the best parts of this install is that it uses existing nut slots and mounting points on the ModCAP door. Light Relocation: Alu-Cab includes specific brackets so you can move your existing swivel light from the door directly onto the kitchen pod. The Mozzie Net: A huge question for many owners—this kitchen is designed to have no impact on the function of your rear door mosquito/midge net, while the door is open.
