SOCK-EAR (2003) - A homemade James Bond spoof filmed for charity James Bond is back. But this time, James is getting it all wrong. Welcome to a blast from the past! This is "Sock-Ear," a James Bond parody film my friends and I made back in 2003 for a school/community fundraiser. We filmed on Mini-DV, sold copies on VHS, and raised money for charity. Nearly 20 years later, this VHS tape is the only surviving copy, so we're digitizing it and sharing it with the world! Starring: Theo Rule as James Bond Tony Allen as SOCK-EAR (a downright meanie with a sock for an ear) Jonathan Asper as Janoltavin (his dope of a sidekick) Dominick Borzestowski as Small Perils Produced by Caleb Irwin *The Story Behind The Film:* In 2003, armed with a Mini-DV camera and a lot of enthusiasm, we set out to make our own Bond adventure. The result is this lovingly awkward, hilarious spoof featuring a villain with a sock on his ear, cardboard gadgets, and all the tropes we could clumsily recreate. It was a labor of love that our community supported, buying VHS copies to help a good cause.
