She was looking for flexible work that would fit around her 4 young children, allowing her to pick them up from school or nursery, as well as have time off with them during the holidays. She didn't have any previous qualifications, but through hard work and dedication, she balanced working and studying to learn about the theory behind educating young children, practising activities with her son, before bringing them into her working environment. From this course, she's gone on to undertake additional training in Makaton, different types of Play Therapy, as well as achieving Unqualified Teacher Status, enabling her to lead a class. She now works in a school where she's able to see children progress from nursery, all the way up to Year 6, something which she enjoys and finds extremely rewarding. She loves working with children because no two days are the same, and is proud of what she's achieved since taking our course. Wether you already work in Early Years, have been thinking about it, or are looking for something flexible to fit around your family commitments, our part-time childcare courses can enhace your CV, and get you qualified for work in an Early Years setting. You could also go on to work in Primary Education, Developmental Psychology, or Social Work. To register your interest, please email [email protected], or call 01992 411 331.
