However, there is now a new point of entry to the legendary G-wagen – the 2022 Mercedes-Benz G 400d – and it employs the same tough ladder frame and much of the G 63 AMG’s in-car tech. The new G 400d also packs the most powerful diesel engine fitted to a Mercedes-Benz production vehicle, but it’s already a sell-out in Australia too – despite an admission price of $233,900 plus on-road costs.
