Honda unveiled the new CUV e electric scooter for the European market at the EICMA 2024 motorcycle show in Italy. According to the Japanese two-wheeler giant, the CUV e's performance is equivalent to that of a 125 cc ICE-powered scooter. CUV stands for Clean Urban Vehicles whereas the e signifies emission-free riding. The Honda electric scooter has a range of 70 km, which is very low compared to Indian electric scooters. Just like the Hero Vida, the Honda electric scooter also gets two removable batteries. On the features front, the Honda CUV e gets a 5-inch or 7-inch TFT display with a host of connected features, three riding modes, a USB charger, and a reverse mode. The new Honda electric scooter's styling is similar to that of a typical ICE scooter, with a sharp front end and a curvy tail section. In fact, the scooter's face is similar to that of the TVS Jupiter 110, with a long LED strip running across the apron. The Honda CUV e rides on 12-inch alloy wheels, and damping is provided by a telescopic fork and a mono-shock unit. Why are we so interested in a Honda electric scooter launched in Europe? You see the Honda CUV e is kind of a precursor to the Japanese brand’s first electric scooter for our market, likely to be called the Honda Activa E.
