The Slates delivered a workman-like performance at Arlene’s Grocery, with a cheeky stage presence, good musicianship and some banging tunes. Not much to provoke pondering the depths of human existence, but a performance by The Slates promises a good time. Bio: The Slates are a four-piece indie-rock band from Mirfield, Yorkshire, known for their gritty, riff-driven sound and energetic live performances reminiscent of Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, and The Stone Roses.
