Sightings starts out with cascades of distorted guitars, synthesizers and the two drummers pounding synchronically towards it’s first climax, then dissolves into a long and somewhat retaining build-up, that gradually introduces new elements, while the drummers carefully opens up the spectre beat by beat, period by period. The shimmering guitars fades out and leaves room for the next part of the song to open up. From here chaos is evident and unavoidable. Sightings unfold into a sheer power display of guitar-shredding , thundering double drums and beautifully cohesive melodies tangled into each other towards the ever looming ending. Sightings is in many ways a classic TSS-song, but then again it contains a fresh take on a classic setting and an ever-present unpredictability that keeps the listener committed from the very first stroke until the last guitar feedback disappears in the misty distance.
