I stumbled upon this mini high-speed RC boat at a dusty flea market, tucked away and completely forgotten. 💔 It was a mess: scuffed, scratched, faded, with missing/corroded electronics, a chipped hull, bent propeller, and seized rudder. Honestly, it looked heartbroken, but I saw its potential! I knew this wasn't just another broken toy; it was a challenge, a canvas, and a promise of future high-speed adventures. My heart ached for it, so I scooped it up, knowing it deserved a second chance at zooming across the water! 🌊 First up, the meticulous and incredibly satisfying disassembly! Working with miniature components is a whole new ball game. Each tiny screw and 'click' as parts came apart was pure ASMR heaven. I carefully cataloged every piece, discovering unbelievable grime and gunk inside – years of neglect had really taken their toll! 🤢 Then came the deep clean, one of the most therapeutic parts! 🧼 Hours were spent with cotton swabs and brushes, coaxing years of dirt from every nook and cranny. I sourced new, powerful components: a brushless motor for serious oomph, a new ESC, and a waterproof micro-servo. The soldering was incredibly delicate – tiny wires, tiny components, all requiring a steady hand and patience. But seeing those connections come together perfectly was so satisfying! ⚡ Internal organs sorted, it was time for the exterior glow-up! The hull needed serious TLC. I carefully filled gouges and chips, then spent ages sanding for a perfectly smooth, pristine surface (more soothing ASMR!).
