Act Like Yourself - Our Need for a Group Identity

The third component of cultivating Gospel-centered community is a group identity. From early on in our lives, our brains are wired to create our identity based on what we see in the people closest to us. While the Church has historically done well to create creeds that define Christian doctrine, the Church has struggled to effectively create statements that define Christian character. We must be a joyful, hesed community that creates these character statements in order to see transformation occur, leading to every community member becoming the person Jesus wants them to be.
