Wednesday went into this game off the back of a 3-1 away loss to Preston and similarly, Derby County went into this game off the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Leeds United! Wednesday started as the stronger side and that was made evident when Wednesday took the lead inside 10 minutes, a ball across the box and there was Barry Bannan to tap the ball into the empty net - Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Derby County! After this Derby had quite a few chances, and so did Wednesday but neither team could find the game's second goal before half time - HT Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Derby County! Then in the second half Josh Windass produced an absolute beauty of a goal out of nothing, inside his own half, we smacked the ball and it somehow went over the keeper and into the back of the net to double the lead for Wednesday! - Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Derby County! 2 minutes later, Wednesday get another! This time through Djedi Gassama, a beautiful flick round his man and then it outpaced both of the Derby defenders to then stick away the chance 1v1 to make it 3-0 - Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 Derby County! But Derby did eventually get a goal back through Jerry Yates as Wednesday allowed him to get to the ball at the back stick for a tap in - Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 Derby County! But then just as nerves we kicking in, Anthony Musaba secured the Wednesday victory with a goal from a rebound when he was through to net a 4th goal for the Owls and secure the 3 points for Wednesday - Sheffield Wednesday 4-1 Derby County! Then Ebou Adams got Derby County another goal in the 90th minute but it was only a consolation goal as the Rams didn't have enough time to get a 3rd goal or an equaliser - Sheffield Wednesday 4-2 Derby County! And that was how the game remained for the final 5 minutes after the Adams goal, thus the full time result being - FT Sheffield Wednesday 4-2 Derby County!
