IN this animated video we will discuss about Location Construction and working of Mass air flow sensor!! LOCATION:::::: Lets start with the location of sensor! Normally Mass air flow sensor is Provided in Throttle body or you can say Between air filter and intake manifold! so it can precisely measure the quantity of intake air! CONSTRUCTION:::: Mass air flow sensor consist of a body in which ECM connector is provided! One Tungstan wire is used as a core sensing element for the air quantity which is Paired by a tempreture sensor in front. to protect the entire sensing element one simple dust filter is provided which cleans the dust particles from incoming air. WORKING::: When Sensor is subjected to intake air the tempreture sensor Sens the tempreture of it and sends signal to the ecm. using this signal ECM Supplies Specific voltage to tungstan wire which heat up the wire to Slight higher tempreture then intake air. due to lower tempreture of intake air tungstan wire gets Cooling effect and according to its Physicle property Resistance of wire reduces. this change in resistance will Measured by ECM. it means Resistance changes with the flow of intake air. the Decrease in flow of air causes the Higher Resistance in Tungstan wire and vice versa.By measuring this Change In resistance ECM can decide the flow of air inside Intake manifold. #mafsensor #massairflowsensor #automobilesensors
