Henry, the beloved son of the blacksmith, lived freely, without heed to customs: he could drink himself into a stupor with strong dark ale and sleep until the noonday tolling of the bells. Yet his heart held unwavering loyalty to his parents. ◾ Together with his father, they completed the forging of a magnificent sword for Pan Radzig Kobyla (Sir Radzig Kobyla). Soon, the blade was inspected by its future owner himself, and all bowed in reverent awe before the blacksmith's mastery. This long, intricately carved sword — a true masterpiece of the forge, the finest of the finest in the lands of Bohemia! But suddenly, the air was rent by the ominous blare of a horn — an omen of doom, the signal of King Sigismund's hordes. The wild Cumans, like wolves from the steppes, encircled the village from all sides. The bloody raid claimed the lives of nearly all the inhabitants; only a handful of the righteous managed to seek refuge in the holy sanctuary of the chapel. Our hero was left destitute of soul in an instant: his father fell, his mother breathed her last in agony, his friends were slaughtered. ◾ For now, he lacked the strength to fight back, but the face of the murderer — the one who mutilated his kin — seared into his memory like a red-hot brand. A thirst for vengeance, akin to an unstoppable plague, clouded his reason, and the blood of his ancestors boiled in his veins. ❤️ In this episode, Henry finds temporary shelter and meets a remarkable woman named Stephanie.
