Lane County Commissioner David Loveall is pushing back against allegations of retaliation from three county employees, with county commissioners voting 3-2 at Wednesday’s public meeting for Loveall to issue an apology. "There are numerous factual inaccuracies in the report that was released to the public and there's evidence that these factual errors were known before it was ordered to be released,” said Jill Gibson, Loveall’s attorney. “It was released anyway. That violates his right to liberty interest." Commissioner Loveall and his counsel say the third-party investigation detailing those allegations has discrepancies.
