Naghma Sahar is one of the renowned journalists in the country. She completed her MA in geography from Delhi School of Economics and is also an alumna of JNU. She hosts ORF’s weekly video series India’s World. She is also a senior editor and anchor with NDTV. Naghma was a UGC JRF scholar, having specialised in rural development. Using her words as weapons, she has served the media industry for almost 19 years. With the theme Resonate, she tells in her talk of all the things that resonated in her mind and heart while she was observing this massive change happening in the news industry. She believes how media plays a crucial part in shaping the opinions of millions. She also explains how television industry is going through a rough patch where terms like credibility and integrity are struggling to fit in while their definition is facing evolution. Naghma is working as a Senior Editor and Anchor at NDTV India and also as a Senior Fellow at ORF in Digital and New Media . Her show Salaam Zindagi was widely appreciated for sensitively handling social issues and bringing them to the front. Through sheer hard work and perseverance, she has carved a niche and raised the bar in the field of journalism.
