The Silent Capital (Thimphu Town): We start by walking through the heart of Thimphu. The first thing that hits you? The silence. Coming from India, where city traffic equals constant honking, Thimphu is a shock to the system. There are cars everywhere, but zero horns. I also take you to the famous traffic circle—the only capital city in the world without a single traffic light! Watching the policemen direct traffic with such elegance is a sight you won't see anywhere else. 2. The Centenary Farmers Market (The Local Vibe): To understand a country, you have to see what they eat. We dive into the massive Centenary Farmers Market. This isn't just a market; it's an explosion of colors and culture. You'll see locals buying fresh yak cheese (Datshi), organic vegetables, and red rice. This is where I really felt the pulse of the city—watching everyday people, hearing the local language, and seeing how clean and organized a public market can actually be. 3. The Great Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point): We leave the city noise behind and head up the mountains to one of the most iconic spots in Bhutan—Buddha Point. Standing at 169 feet tall, this massive golden Buddha statue dominates the valley. The scale of it is hard to describe on camera, but standing there, looking down at the entire Thimphu valley, is a spiritual experience. I explore the plaza and share the history behind this golden giant. 4. The Cultural Shock (Dress Code & Discipline): One of my biggest "First Impressions" was the dress code. It’s fascinating to see modern youth and office-goers wearing the traditional Gho (for men) and Kira (for women) as their daily wear. It adds such a unique identity to the streets that is missing in many modern cities. 5. The Indian Traveler’s Guide (Currency & UPI): For my Indian audience, I answer the big practical questions: Can we use Indian Rupees (INR) freely in the market?
