The whole struggle in life is about everybody wanting a set path or a blueprint, which when followed will give some guarantee to all good things in life. He says that such a thing does not exist and that there are no consolations, no certainties, and no guarantees about anything in life. If you can live life knowing this, then there can be no stress. He says, each soul is born with certain tendencies, or it can be something, that we are learning in this lifetime. It is possible to somewhat shape your way, but it’s not possible to have a blueprint. Om Swami says that according to our culture, astrology is the blueprint of our life. But, that is not true as you yourself built your own blueprint, one step at a time with careful planning. There is of course no guarantee that all your planning and execution will be fruitful. Some will and some will not. At all times in our life, there will be some problem, some problematic person, or some other cause which will cause anxiety. That is how life unfolds. He says we can’t say about rebirth or reincarnation, it's therefore a better proposition to be happy as we have only this moment. If anyone says that they cannot be happy due to some reason or the other then it’s just an excuse. You have to find where your happiness lies as nobody else can do that for you or tell you how to go about it, for that is a process of self-discovery.
