SHAHDARA DISTRICT Dated: 21.08.2024 • ONE MURDRER NABBED BY THE STAFF OF PS SEEMAPURI. • ACCUSED AJEEM HAD FLED AWAY FROM THE SPOT AFTER COMMITTING THE CRIME AND HAD BEEN HIDING AT DIFFERENT PLACES TO EVADE HIS ARREST. • CONTINUOUS 60-HOURS EFFORTS OF TECHNICAL AND SURVEILLANCE TEAMS LED TO THE ARREST OF ACCUSED. • ACCUSED AND VICTIM WERE KNOWN TO EACH OTHER AND A SCUFFLE, RELATED TO A PREVIOUS DISPUTE ESCALATED WHICH LED TO THE MURDER. • ONE COUNTRY MADE PISTOL USED IN COMMISSION OF CRIME ALONG WITH EMPTY CATRIDGE RECOVERED FROM THE ACCUSED. BRIEF DETAIL OF INCIDENT:- On 16/08/2024, a call received regarding a person laying on road near DTC Depot Seemapuri after a gun shot by unknown person. When victim rushed to GTB hospital doctor declared brought dead. Accordingly, on the statement of eye witness, case vide Case FIR NO 515/24 U/S 103(1) BNS & 27 Arms Act PS SEEMAPURI was registered and investigation was taken up by Insp Vinit Tomar. TEAM & INVESTIGATION :- Considering the gravity of incident, the crack team led by Insp. Vinit was deployed to solve this murder case incident under the supervision of ACP Seemapuri. The team was tasked to arrest the accused and brought justice to the victim and his family. The case involved the murder of Asif R/O Seemapuri, with the primary suspect identified as Ajeem S/O Guljar Ahmad also from Seemapuri but a permanent resident of Village Nandru, Dhampur, Uttar Pradesh. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the accused and the victim were known to each other. Following the crime, Ajeem fled the scene and went into hiding. In response, a specialized team, including SI Yashpal, HC Shailendra, HC Chandan, HC Devender, and Ct. Sunil, was dispatched to Nandru, Dhampur, UP, under the supervision of SHO Seemapuri and Inspector Vinit Kumar. The team executed multiple raids in Nandru, Dhampur, Sheohar, Nagina, and surrounding areas, interrogating the accused’s relatives and blocking potential hideouts. Simultaneously, technical surveillance was carried out by ASI Anil Yadav and ASI Deepak from the CDR Section, who analyzed call detail records (CDR) from approximately 20 numbers. Despite the mobile numbers of the accused's family being switched off, the team remained relentless, utilizing all available resources, including secret informers, to gather intelligence on the absconding suspect. After numerous raids in New Seemapuri and adjacent areas and a continuous 60-hour effort, the team obtained crucial information indicating that the accused had relocated to Delhi. Acting on this intelligence, the team focused their search on Nand Nagri, Delhi where they successfully arrested the accused following a well-executed raid. INTERROGATION:- During detailed interrogation, Ajeem admitted that he and the victim had known each other for several years. Ajeem operates a rented butcher shop in Seemapuri has been living in the area with his wife for the past 7-8 months after they got married while his family resides in Dhampur. The victim, Asif worked at a jeans factory in Loni, Ghaziabad and lived with his mother and younger brother; his three sisters are married. Ajeem disclosed that on the intervening night of 15-16/08/2024, he and Asif had an altercation at a local tea stall in Seemapuri around 2:00 AM. The scuffle, related to a previous dispute escalated when Ajeem, carrying an illegal firearm, shot Asif and fled the scene. Ajeem evaded arrest by hiding in various locations until his capture. During investigation, weapon used in commission of crime was recovered on the instance of accused. On investigation, it was further revealed that the accused has criminal background and records are being scrutinized to gather more information.
