Civilization 7 MASSIVE OCEANS UPDATE - New Navies, REAL Pirates & Free DLC!

Welcome to Civilization 7's massive, freshly announced navy and oceans update! Patch Update 1.3.0 launches alongside a free PIRATE DLC pack (The Tides of Power Collection). Phase one of two sees the Republic of Pirates civ, and the Tonga civ introduced to the game, alongside four new wonders and perhaps my favorite looking leader in Civ 7 - Edward Teach, the fierce, flame-bearded pirate at the start of the video. The Tides of Power collection also has a second phase, releasing in December 2025 and featuring new civs Iceland and The Ottomans, as well as a new leader. The new civs Republic of Pirates and Tonga launch alongside the November free patch update, which brilliantly supports them by introducing a new Harbor district (warehouse generic district.. *sigh*), and a new generic Privateer ship, capable of plundering and fighting with enemies you are not at war with - true piracy arrives to Civ 7! They're also reworking naval combat by introducing ranged combat, and dividing ships between the "light" and "heavy" classifications. They're also adding four new ocean-focused resources, and two new ocean tile terrain types.
