And it is filled with yummy Strawberry and Cream! 🍰 In this video, we're going to show you how to make a Strawberry layer cake in minutes! With the addition of Chocolate ganache, this cake has a very decadent look! It's a great way to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in just a few minutes! 🍰 So, put the kettle on, and let's get baking! Happy baking! 🧑🏻‍🍳 🍰 Turn ON Subtitles To get Your Language! 🍰 Ingredients: Ingredients: Fresh Strawberries 250g (about 1 ½ cups) Sponge Cake: 4 Eggs separated Sugar 100g (½ cup) Salt ¼ teaspoon Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon Plain Flour 100g (⅔ cup) Baking powder 1 teaspoon For the Cream filling: Cream Cheese 100g (about ½ cup) Heavy cream 120ml (½ cup) Sugar 30g (2 tablespoons) Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon For the ganache (optional): White Chocolate 150g Heavy cream 80ml (⅓ cup) Sugar syrup: (optional): Warm Water 60ml (¼ cup) Sugar 50g (¼ cup) Measuring cup size - 240ml Baking tray - 25cm x 20cm (Take a larger tray) Method: Add the Egg whites, Salt, and the Sugar into a bigger bowl. Whisk at high speed, for about 4-5 minutes, until stiff peaks form. Now add the Egg Yolks, 2 at a time, and whisk for about 1 minute each time. Now add the flour and the baking powder. Fold gently using a spatula or a hand whisk. Spread on the lined baking tray Tap a few times. Now Bake in a preheated oven at 175c (350f) for about 15-20 minutes Once baked, take out and let it cool completely. Making the cream filling: Mix the Sugar and the Cream cheese with a spoon. Add the Heavy cream and the Vanilla extract. Now whisk for about 1-2 minutes, until the mixture thickens. Cut the strawberries into smaller pieces. Mix into the filling. Chill for about 10 minutes Making the Ganache: (Optional) Microwave the White chocolate and the Heavy cream together, for about 1 minute Mix well. Let it cool for about 10-15 minutes. Whisk well for about 1 minute. Assembling the Cake: Cut the cake into 3 equal parts. Drizzle the Sugar syrup if needed. Spread the Strawberry Cream in between the layers. Spread the Ganache over the cake, as you like. You can also just sprinkle some Powdered Sugar instead! Top the cake with White Chocolate shavings (optional) Chill for about 15 minutes!
