The Brave Little Tailor There once was a little tailor who lived in a small house. He sewed clothes to make money. One day an old lady walked by his window. She was selling sweet cream. “Sweet cream! Come buy my sweet delicious cream. It is very cheap,” she shouted. The little tailor wanted to buy some sweet cream to put on his bread. He shouted out his window, “Please come over, I want to buy some sweet cream.” After he bought the cream, he cut up some bread and put the sweet cream on it. He put the bread on the table because he wanted to finish sewing his jacket first and He did not want any crumbs to fall onto it. When he was finished with the jacket, he went to the table to get his bread but there were many flies on it. He took a towel and he hit the flies. He counted seven dead flies on the ground. “Seven dead flies in one hit, I am very strong. I will tell everyone about my power,” he thought as he left the house to go to town. On his way to the town he saw a giant in the forest. The tailor had written on his belt, “Seven in one hit.” The giant took the tailor’s belt and read it. He thought that the tailor had killed seven men in one hit. He was wrong; the tailor had only killed seven flies in one hit. He said, “You must be very strong, but can you do this?” The giant squeezed a stone and water came out of it. “I can do better than that,” said the tailor. He took out a piece of cheese and squeezed it. Juice started coming out of the cheese. “Wow, that was great. You are very strong,” said the giant. “I want you to come over to my home and stay there for a few days. You can be my special guest. ”The tailor had never been inside a giant’s house before, so he agreed to go. Later that night, the giant took out a big stick. He wanted to kill the tailor when he was sleeping. When the tailor saw the giant holding the big stick, he ran out of the giant’s house. The tailor got very tired from running away. He had no idea where he was. It was so dark outside. He fell asleep in the palace garden. The king was out for his morning walk. He saw the tailor sleeping in his garden. He saw the tailor’s belt and read it. The king thought the tailor was very strong. He asked the tailor to join his army ard help to protect his land. The tailor agreed to join the king’s army. Everyone was afraid of the tailor because of what they had heard from other people. The king did not like the fact that people were more afraid of the tailor than the king himself so he came up with an idea to kill the tailor. The king said to the tailor, “If you kill the two giants in the forest, I will let you marry my daughter andhave half of my kingdom. ”The tailor was very happy. He wanted to marry the king’s daughter. He went into the forest and found the two giants sleeping. He threw rocks at both the giants. They got angry at each other and They started throwing trees at each other and then they both died. The tailor went back to the king and told him the good news.
