Something rather different today (aside from a new intro!) - we temporarily move from the Home Counties and London all the way to Berlin, Germany! I went out here with my Dad whilst he ran the Marathon, and in different times managed to familiarise myself with the local bus types and routes. The M43 runs straight past the Marathon expo at one end of the route and our hotel at the other - so I considered it my target to get a good run on one of these beastly Merc bendies that form the allocation. Don't get me wrong, most Berlin drivers are fast - but it's not easy to get one that presses their foot properly down to get to those higher speeds. I had to try 8 times, but I finally hit luck with a guy who was due a driver changeover at Treptower Park. By the sight of him running into the station afterwards he was in a bit of a rush - multiple 1-3's were achieved as well as a powerful downshift at one point (4:00).
