The Sabbath appears in Scripture from cover to cover. It's prominent in the creation narrative, given to Moses as part of the Ten Commandments, and appears many other times, Old Testament and New, all the way through to Revelation. In more recent times, it's become common to see mainline Christian authors writing on the concept of a weekly rest—taking one day out of seven to spend with God. But is the concept of A sabbath, the same as the concept of THE Sabbath? And if not, why? You're in for a lively discussion this week as Pastors Chad and Frank tackle the eighth episode in our second season, titled, "Why the Sabbath Matters Today." However, in addition to having them offer personal opinions, we challenged them to share what the Bible says about this quarter’s topic. This topic for the second quarter of 2023 is the Three Angels’ messages from Revelation 14. Seventh-day Adventists have a “high” view of scripture, holding it to be a revelation from God, written by men, but invaluable as a resource for learning to know God and His plan for our lives more fully.
