Hello friends, today we walked through the Castro de Santa Tecla (Santa Trega), which is one of the largest known Celtic settlements. Probably the largest in Galicia since it has approximately twenty hectares of surface. It is a really popular place and because of this, I decided to introduce relaxing music on this walk since the sound of people talking, cars and motorcycles, as well as the intense wind that always blows at the top of that mountain could make the experience It wouldn't be so pleasant. So I invite you to relax and immerse yourself in this impressive place, full of History. Its origin dates back to the 4th century BC and was occupied until the 3rd AD and is located at the top of Mount Santa Tecla, a strategic and impregnable bastion 341 meters high. Located in A Guada, in the south of Pontevedra, right at the western end of Galicia, where the Miño River mixes with the salt waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is what researchers call an "oppidum", that is, an authentic fortified city, which would probably play a very important role as the political, religious and administrative center of the region.
