In a sign of warming ties, India and China agreed on Tuesday (Aug 19) to resume direct flights and step up trade and investment flows. This came as Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi wrapped up his two-day visit to New Delhi, where he also met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Both nations are looking to boost ties as a hedge against the shifting global economy upended by United States President Donald Trump's tariffs.
