On July 20th, 2025, a Norman Police officer was monitoring traffic when he observed a vehicle traveling 58 mph in a posted 40 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted on a 2010 Ford Fusion with a 19-year-old woman in the driver’s seat. According to the report, the officer detected the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver initially stated she hadn’t been drinking, claiming the smell was from friends the previous day. After a backup officer arrived, she agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests. During the tests, she informed officers that she was currently on probation for a prior felony. After further questioning, the teen admitted she had consumed a Four Loko around 7 PM and stated she hadn’t eaten all day. She also told the officer that she is a pre-nursing student. She was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Cleveland County Detention Center, where she provided two breath samples as required by state law. Her breath test result was 0.24% BAC, qualifying as an aggravated DUI under Oklahoma statutes. Her charges are listed at the end of the video.
