In a place where work is scarce and the opioid epidemic continues to rage, The Troublesome Creek Stringed Instrument Company saves people’s lives by offering purpose and community - the antidotes to addiction. On July 28th, the devastating floods that rocked Eastern Kentucky tore through the heart of Troublesome Creek. These flood waters destroyed all of our equipment, months and months of hard work, and are now threatening the livelihoods of more than a dozen employees. These people have worked so hard to better their lives and the lives of their families after years of addiction and struggle. The Troublesome Creek Stringed Instrument Company is WAY more than just an employer. Its founder, Doug Naselroad, and everyone at the company is doing the REAL work of helping those find a path out of addiction and to help rebuild their lives through purpose and employment.
