Captain Walsh is a decorated explorer with an incredible list of accomplishments. Most notably, he was on the first mission to Challenger Deep, the deepest known part of the ocean (35,800 feet) in 1960! He was a member of the US Navy for 24 years, became a professor of ocean engineering at USC, then founded a private exploration consulting business called IMI. He has been a technical advisor for both submarine and polar expeditions for many years. Ocean11 was lucky to virtually sit down with him and ask him some questions about many adventures.
