Chicago Midway Int. Airport has imo the most interesting runway configuration and airport layout of any US airport . Also, it has historical significance, being one of the oldest airports, small in area size but still relevant, having International flights. When I saw that the airport was fully staffed with ATC, I took the challenge upon me, knowing I had to land on ultra short runway(s) - 31C at least being equipped with ILS infrastructure. Upon landing, taxing to the gate is like finding yourself in a maze, having to cross two, sometimes three runways. I highly recommend to check out the airport on wikipedia… I was departing in St. Louis, Missouri. The video starts 10 seconds before establishing contact with approach ATC. For those asking why I constantly had the speed breaks activated, with a strange landing configuration: I wanted to fly the arrival route as accurate as possible, knowing the weather conditions were not great… Midway reminds me of London City or La Guardia, NYC….tiny airports located in city centers, very challenging in any sense…
