Baked Macaroni, Filipino-style, is a hearty and comforting pasta dish that's similar to the American baked ziti or lasagna but with a Pinoy twist. It’s made with elbow macaroni tossed in a rich, meaty red sauce and topped with a creamy, cheesy white sauce, then baked until bubbly and golden. List of ingredients: 1.5 L water (for boiling) 1 tbsp salt 600 grams elbow macaroni 500 grams ground beef 500 ml spaghetti sauce 1 cup water 1 tsp salt 3 cloves garlic (minced) 1 medium onion (minced) 5 pcs hotdogs (sliced) 1 medium red bell pepper (minced) 1/4 cup condensed milk 1 pc beef cube 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese 1 cup all purpose cream 1 cup quickmelt cheese Salt & black pepper to taste Procedures: *Boil 1.5 L of water in a pot. *Add 1 tbsp salt. *Then put the elbow macaroni. *Cook until almost al dente. *Once cooked, drain and set aside. *In a pan, put the ground beef. *Add 1 cup water to pre-cook the meat. *Then add 1 tsp salt. *Cook until water is completely gone. *Saute in its own fat until light brown. *Set aside. *In a pan, saute the onion, garlic, and hotdogs. *Add the pre-cooked meat. *Add the red bell pepper. *Put the spaghetti sauce. *Season with salt and pepper to taste. *Pour the condensed milk. *Add the beef cube. *Simmer for 10 minutes in a low heat. *After 10 minutes, put the grated cheddar cheese. *Stir until cheese is melted. *Reserve some sauce for toppings. *Add the cooked macaroni and mix well. *Transfer to a baking dish. *Put the reserved sauce and set aside. *Preheat oven to 356°F (180°C) *In a sauce pan, put the all purpose cream. *Cook and stir until almost boiling in a low heat. *Add the quickmelt cheese. *Stir until cheese is completely melted. *Season with salt & pepper to taste. *Pour cheese sauce on top. *Bake for 20-30 minutes. *Remove from oven and let it cool down. *Done and serve. #bakedmacaroni #filipinostyle #cookingchannel
