Stone IPA is as the name suggests, an IPA that clocks in at 6.9% ABV. Stone describes their IPA as follows: "By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it." Lets see if the beer lives up to Stone's as usual lofty prose. Enjoy the video review..... Written review follows: Stone IPA WRITTEN REVIEW: A- Stone IPA pours a hazy light orange color with a tightly packed head that leaves tremendous glass lacing as it fades. Tons of alcohol legs were observed as well. S- Hello hops. Up front pine, orange zest, grapefruit rind with a hint of grass and good bit of dankness. There is a light bit of spice in there as well and its all rounded out with a bit of malt sweetness. No alcohol aroma is detectable. T- Follows the nose to a ( T ). No alcohol aroma is detectable. M- Medium bodied and carbonated. Smooth from start to semi dry finish. Very easy to drink especially with the well hidden alcohol. O- Stone IPA is a beer that definitely brings great flavor at not to high an alcohol level. It has characteristics of other IPAs in it's own unique way in a tasty package. This is a beer that I recommend and would gladly drink again Its reasonably priced and is as advertised on the label.
