Matthew Plouffe graduated from Humber's Business Marketing program in 2014 and is an account manager at TechWyse Internet Marketing where he works to build a brand’s online presence using search engine optimization techniques as well as social media platforms and online ads. Matt acquired his expertise in client services and his knowledge of digital media through previous roles in financial services at TD Canada Trust and in media planning at the Initiative advertising agency. His first job after graduating from the Business Marketing program was as an assistant media planner at the Initiative advertising agency. Matt is an industry advisor to the Internet Marketing course where he provides his expertise to ensure the course leaves students with skills that are required by the industry today. He takes time to recommend curriculum changes that will help students work in this growing sector. Matt will provide insights into his current job and speak about the importance of networking and how he found a company with a workplace culture that is fun, challenging and fits with his values.
