Segsbury Camp, an Ironage hilltop fortified camp may have been a stopping point along the Ridgeway and I liken that to a modern services stopping point along a motorway. I may be wrong of course! Today Hedley @hedleythorne and I are out for a roam along the Ridgeway, with a stop at Segsbury Camp and an overnight at the Devil’s Punchbowl, just off the Ridgeway.
