GMLAB D9X Open Source Drawbar MIDI Controller - Hands On First Look

There are many fantastic virtual tone wheel organs available, one I really enjoy using is VB3 II from Genuine Soundware; but there always seemed to be something missing - until now. Guido Scognamiglio the developer of the original VB3 and most recently VB3 II has put together the D9X concept; a do It Yourself, Open Source MIDI Drawbar controller, connecting you to your virtual tone wheel organ (or other virtual instruments) in a very exciting way. The D9X uses a series of physical drawbars, buttons, and rotary controls that allow for real-time adjustments whether playing live or inside of your DAW where you can record the movements of the D9X controls using MIDI Control Change automation. The D9X MIDI controller is not only just for tonewheel organs but is able to control virtually any of your virtual instruments that support MIDI learning/mapping of parameters.
