Here's IMO the most disgusting defense of the moral guardians: They are helping people by censoring video games. "By condemning a game that encourages sexual violence against women for entertainment purposes, we are failing to challenge sexual violence against women in the world. We can actually do both!" No. You cannot do both. You're not supposed to do both. The fact that you are actually trying to do both is only undermining whatever good causes that you have, if any, assuming that you are actually doing good causes. You are wasting your energy trying to censor fiction. Congratulations. You got the fiction censored. In result, you are putting a big crosshair on yourself with lots of people hating you, sending all sorts of heinous things at you, and for what? For censoring one game? A game that isn't really that special compared to many other adult content published in the web? To think that you are winning this fight is straight up delusions. Stop justifying that you can "do both" or that you should "do both." You shouldn't have done both. You're seriously telling me that with the two hands that you got, you're going to put one hand to help real victims and the other to censor games you personally find morally wrong? How about put both your hands to help real victims? Doesn't that sound nicer? You may know a thing or two about dealing with victims, but you have zero clue about fictional media and its impact to people. Go and help the real victims affected by the real monsters in this world. Stop wasting any of your time, money, and resources to banning fiction.
