This Greenstone Biosciences Webinar featured speaker Dr. Shuibing Chen, Kilts Family Professor, Director of Diabetes Program, Vice Chair of Innovation and Director of Center of Genomic Health in the Department of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine, and was introduced by our hiPSC Biobank Director Dr. Todd Herron. Dr. Chen’s research centers on using human pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) to derive functional cells, tissues, and organs. By combining stem cell biology, developmental biology, medicinal chemistry, and tissue engineering, her lab develops patient-specific tissues for potential replacement therapies and builds robust “disease-in-a-dish” platforms to accelerate drug discovery.
