High in the Carpathian Mountains, life begins early. This is a simple winter day in our mountain village. In the morning I cook for myself and for the animals — cutting beetroot and potatoes, preparing warm food for the piglet, cooking potatoes in meat broth for pasta. The chickens eat from my hands — they are not afraid. Later, I prepare dinner on the traditional wood stove — baked potatoes with cracklings and sour cream. In this video, I also show something very special — my mother’s handmade embroidery. She made it with her own hands. In our mountains, traditions live through family and simple things made with love. In the evening, I bring food to the piglet, the cow Lasunya, and carry the cat to the stable. No rush. No show. Just real mountain life.
