Chrome Alley to White Pine to Cascade is an intermediate ski run located on the Canyons side of Park City Mountain Resort. The trails run from the summit of Iron Mountain, down to the bottom of the Iron Mountain Express chairlift. Just like all of the other trails off of the top of Iron Mountain, the run starts just to the skier's left of the top of the chairlift. At the three-way intersection, Chrome Alley takes a sharp turn to the left. The run is narrow, flat, and straight. At the end of the trail, I took a sharp right turn onto White Pine. White Pine passes by the lower Canyons station of the Quicksilver Gondola. The trail is most mellow and narrow but widens into a steep section right before reaching the bottom of the Dreamcatcher chairlift. After passing by the lift, the run turns into Cascade which is also flat and narrow, at points running alongside a road, and eventually leads back to the bottom of the Iron Mountain Express chairlift. Park City Mountain Resort is a ski resort located in Park City, Utah. The resort is located in western Summit County and is located about a 45-minute drive east of the state's capital and largest city, Salt Lake City. The resort spans two separate areas connected by a gondola: Park City Mountain and Canyons. Park City Mountain rises up from near the center of town, serving a large variety of trails through the area for all ability levels. Meanwhile, Canyons is located a few miles north of town and has a more horizontal, spread-out layout. Canyons caters more to intermediates, with a variety of blue runs located across the area. Plenty of advanced terrain can also be found, however, with the most extreme runs being located off of the famous 9990 Express chairlift, which exclusively serves double-black terrain. The two areas were separately owned until 2014 when Vail Resorts, the owner of Canyons at the time, purchased the Park City Mountain area from Powdr Corporation, after multiple years of litigation involving the Powdr's lease on the land. Then, in 2015, the Quicksilver Gondola was built between the two sides, joining the two ski areas together for the first time. Park City Mountain was also a venue for the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics, hosting multiple skiing and snowboarding events. Since the resort is owned by Vail Resorts, the resort is on the Epic Pass with the full pass granting unlimited access to the resort.
