Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin pt 2 | Metroidvania Livestream

Tonight we'recontinuing our playthrough of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, one of my favorite of the IGAvania Castlevanias. Originally released for the Nintendo DS in 2006, the game has since been ported to the Castlevania Dominus Collection. This one ranks up there as one of the best Castlevania games for me -- it feels more connected to the series than many of the other games, as it includes direct story links to Castlevania: Bloodlines and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Today we'll be heading into the second portrait, the Sandy Grave, and taking the fight to Astarte, the boss of that region. If we have time, we may try to make it through the Nation of Fools as well. This year marks the Castlevania 40th Anniversary, so on this stream, we'll be talking about Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, the upcoming game from Konami and Evil Empire, along with my wishlist of what other things I'd like to see from Konami this year.
