Turbulence usually doesn’t bother me, but this was without a doubt one of the scariest landings I’ve ever had. Seoul in the summer is notorious for heavy rain and storms during monsoon season, and we got the full experience on approach. As we descended, lightning lit up the sky around us, thunder cracked so loud it shook the cabin, and there were moments where it felt like the plane was dropping straight out of the sky. The combination of rain, wind, and turbulence made it feel more like a rollercoaster than a landing. To their credit, though, the pilots handled it incredibly well and brought our Dreamliner safely onto the ground.
