Fire Emblem Three Houses AMV: Somewhere Only We Know

So this is more of a video that’s like a tribute to who was my spouse in each path (and an excuse for me to go geek off about who I married in said routes, oop) FYI: In my very first play through of 3 Houses, I chose the Golden Deer because everyone I asked told me to and I had promised myself a while back that this house was the first one I’m doing. So in case you’re wondering why the heck he had so much artwork shown of him & Byleth, you now know why. Same with Dimitri, but for a slightly different reason; his character arc. Nuff said, now onto the generalized ship stories based on my experiences of my play through with the game! White Clouds: In all 4 paths, Byleth, Esperanza, Destiny, & Kiara start out they same: although they didn’t exactly experience life normally, that all changed when they met the house leaders from Garreg Mach: Dimitri, Edelgard, & Claude. After being taken to Garreg Mach, they & their father, Jeralt Eisner, were introduced to Archbishop Rhea, who expressed gratitude for saving the students. Her advisor, Seteth, however, held suspicion of them for being readily accepted & believed that they could have had ulterior motives. A few days after staying at Garreg Mach, Rhea decided to appoint them as a new professor since the one prior just ran away like a coward when bandits attacked the house leaders. Claude & Byleth: Of all three of the house leaders, Byleth took a particular interest in the latter, finding his surprisingly casual & carefree personality to be peculiar, especially since she could sense at a glance that his smile didn’t reach his eyes. Curious to find out what he was truly hiding, she decided to join the Golden Deer house. While she initially thought Claude could be a bit tactless at serious points, he later opened up to her a bit about partly why he behaves like that: he keeps acting like he’s okay because he wanted to keep spirits up & reassure the fawns that everything would be okay. In post timeskip, a month after the class reunites, Claude talked to Byleth alone & reveals that he had been working toward his goal to unite all of Fodlan & his homeland after being bullied his whole life for even existing. Even after knowing the truth behind his origins, Byleth never once wavered her trust in him. After Nemesis’ defeat, Claude & Byleth met up at the Goddess Tower before the coronation. He then told her that he wouldn’t be there for it because he had to go back home to break down the walls of prejudice between Fodlan & his homeland. Before he left, though, he confessed his love for Byleth & promised her hand in marriage before setting off to finish his life’s goal. Edelgard & Esperanza: Saving Edelgard from the bandits’ leader was more than enough reason for Edelgard to start developing feelings for the stoic, but surprisingly flirty mercenary. Though Esperanza wasn’t fond of the idea of being a teacher without permission at first, she chose to teach the Black Eagles after El admitted that she would be happy to have her as a teacher. After a few months of teaching the fledglings of the Black Eagles, Esp grew to trust in & believe in Edelgard, going so far as to betray the Archbishop in order to protect her Songbird. In the post timeskip, after they both defeated Rhea, Sothis saw how much Esperanza came to care for Edelgard, & in her mercy, allowed her to become mortal to stay with the Emperor & live out the rest of their lives together. Seteth & Kiara: Just like with Esperanza, Kiara chose to teach the Black Eagles. Initially, she said that she did that stunt only because she hated Seteth for what she believed was him being a nagging prick. However, when Flayn, Seteth’s sister went missing, she started to see true colors, having a change of heart for who she believed was a pain in the ass. After rescuing Flayn, she saw Seteth smile for the first time, making it the very first time Kiara saw him happy. She wanted to cherish that smile so much so that she didn’t need to think about siding with the church after finding out Edelgard’s ahem involvement. Throughout the rest of the war, though they constantly bickered a lot, they eventually became so close to each other that Seteth proposed to Kiara a few months after the war’s end in the post timeskip. Dimitri & Destiny: Having similar interests is one thing, but sharing similar fears is another story, which is how Destiny felt when she got to spend time with Dimitri. What she didn’t expect was for this blond haired, blue eyed prince to suddenly become her secret crush & her most trusted ally. In the past, telling him such a thing would have scared her too much for fear of rejection. Who knew that her fear of rejection was a fear shared similarly to Dimitri’s fear of being left truly alone by those he loved with his heart, something that was only revealed to her by him after 5 years of keeping it in? Needless to say, after reaching his heart, she managed to heal his heart and proposed to stay by his side, forevermore.
