Ever wonder why the United States Government is based in Washington, D.C., as opposed to one of the fifty states? Well, today's video is about the District of Columbia, and how it distinguishes itself from the rest of the United States. In so doing, we will also be looking at why Washington, D.C., is being considered for statehood, since the House of Representatives back in the Summer of 2020 voted to admit the District of Columbia as the 51st state.
