Once upon a time, I guided on the Fraser river for sturgeon (note, I wasn’t a great sturgeon guide). Considering the river gets pink salmon every second year, I figured a family trip was due! Charles hadn’t caught a sturgeon before and the kiddo had only seen cartoon drawings of them in books. After a bunch of suggestions from friends and a bit of schedule shuffling, we were able to secure a half day with Kolby from Langs on the Fraser out of Mission. Mom wanted to hook, reel and land her own fish (which ended up being the biggest fish of the day, pushing eight feet). She’s going to hurt over the next few days! It’s been years since I’ve guided for sturgeon and with three fish over seven feet, Kolby didn’t disappoint. Thanks you guys for for making it work!
