In this short, we focus on the clinical progression and key warning signs of Ebola, including the initial nonspecific symptoms, evolving to hemorrhagic manifestations such as bleeding from puncture sites and oral mucosa, coagulation abnormalities, and neuropsychiatric agitation. Special attention is given to pregnancy complications, with abortion being common in infected women. We also highlight how Ebola can initially mimic other tropical diseases like malaria and typhoid fever, which can delay diagnosis. This video is essential for medical and nursing students, infectious disease trainees, and healthcare workers to recognize critical red flags of Ebola infection. ► THE PROF 📚🏫 Dr. Jean-Jacques Muyembe-Tamfum is the Director-General of the Institut National de Recherche Biomédicale (INRB) in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
