Remember also to use low pressure when you’re rinsing the spool and reel (I was too excited and filmed too much waterfall action) Thank you Slazmo for reminding me! 1. Tighten drag and spool tension knob for BC. (To keep water out) 2. Rinse the line with low pressure for about 30-60 seconds. (To clean line) 3. Run water over the reel, especially the moving parts or joints. Make sure to avoid running water under rotor for spinning and into the drain ports BC. (To avoid salt crystallisation, reduce corrosion and clear debris) 4. Hold the reel with the drain ports down facing down and shake dry very hard. (This will force fresh water out of the reel) 5. Wipe down external surfaces once no water can be shaken from the reel with towel and cue tips. (To avoid salt crystallisation, reduce corrosion and clear debris) 6. Loosen drag and spool tension knob to store. (For smooth drag performance) 7. Lubricate all moving parts and joints. (For smooth operation and reduce corrosion) 8.
