I started the 6th day of my tour in Tuscany in the town of Montalcino, well known for it’s premier wine Brunello di Montalcino. After a great decent and a climb or two (of course) I made my way to the picturesque little town Pienza. Pienza is famous for being the birth place of Pope Pius II and for producing delicious Pecorino cheese. After a quick lunch enjoying the cheese I made my way to another well known wine town, Montepulciano. I debated with myself whether to stop and try the wine. But I decided to carry on toward the end destination, Sarteano. In Sarteano I found a fantastic campground and finished the day enjoying a glass of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
